Red Diamond Wine | Winemaker

Winemaker Juan Muñoz Oca had his first taste of wine only days after his birth during the heart of the Argentine grape harvest. Somehow the winery staff talked his mother into letting him have a taste of wine and they bottled it that year and later presented it to the family on his 18th birthday, which is the legal drinking age in Argentina.

In 2006, Muñoz Oca was named winemaker for Red Diamond. He believes Red Diamond wines reflect the balance between innovation and tradition, "The energy of a new generation of winemakers combined with traditional techniques is what makes our wines approachable yet sophisticated and elegant. These wines aren't meant to intimidate or mystify people; they are meant to be enjoyed."
